N Dot's Gibson Melody Maker Instrument Review

Hello all it's N Dot and introducing a new instrument review section to you all. I am now partnered with the best online retailer for todays modern musician American Musical Supply. I will be reviewing these instruments and posting up vlogs to accompany them on our youtube. The first instrument will be the Gibson Melody Maker an intermediate electric guitar. For me as a producer/Song writer the ability to get the sounds of my head is important and Lord knows I am no Clapton but I can get out a couple of chords if need be.

So after I unboxed the package I was delighted to find a guitar case which is a pretty good one for the cost of this axe. Upon the opening the case it was inspection time so I went over it with a fine tooth comb. The Melody Maker is constructed solidly with the black finish which isn't marred easily. The knobs are easily manipulated but yet sturdy. The strings came in like someone played the axe before it came into my possession which is something everybody says they do but you can tell when they don't.
The overall size fits well of someone who has an average wingspan such as myself which when I made the rounds with it incurred some issues with the bigger guitar gurus in my circle. The species of lumber chosen was a good pic solid and adds to the sound.

Played the traditional way with an amp in a jam session was a great thrill it held it's own for the 15 minutes that I rocked out. Now when I took it to a studio application the sounds weren't as I expected but better so I was very enthused. Now I am totally please with Gibson and this guitar so keep up the good work. I might have to scale back the turntable practice just so I can fit in some more guitar sessions.
